The 8th Annual Blue Ribbon Ride
That time of the year is coming! Scheduled for Saturday, September 10th, 2011 rain or shine, the CAC’s “Blue Ribbon Ride Against Child Abuse” is a 80-mile motorcycle ride that will wind throughout Oswego County. The ride will be a special event that bikers are sure to enjoy. The CAC planning committee has put together an exciting day that not only includes a scenic ride, but also a tasty barbeque from Limp Lizard following the ride hosted by Wheel-A-Way Motorsports, Route 57 in Fulton. There will also be a variety of raffles as well as some great entertainment by Bratz N Blondz.
Register for the ride and be a part of a great cause, and have a great day out riding and enjoying the BBQ lunch! Last year’s event raised over $7,500 for the Child Advocacy Center. 100% of the money raised remains local and is used to provide free services to child victims of sexual and physical abuse in Oswego County.
A $30 donation per driver and a $20 donation per passenger are requested. Riders who obtain $150 or more in donations will ride and dine for free. Non-bikers who would like to support the CAC’s ‘Go Blue! For Kids’ Campaign are also welcome to be at the event. Registration for non-riders is $10 per person and includes the barbeque and entertainment at Wheel-A-Way following the ride. All proceeds from the event will benefit the CAC’s Blue Ribbon Campaign.
You can register for the ride by clicking the link below and filling out the registration form and making a payment through PayPal (see below). Riders who pre-register by August 19th will receive a free Blue Ribbon Ride t-shirt. Registration will also be open on the day of the event beginning at 9:00 a.m., with the ride beginning at 10am and finishing up around 12 noon.
Please note: This ride is not a parade. Motorcycles must be street legal. Riders must wear proper attire, including helmets.
